Sports massage

The prime purpose of sports massage therapy is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. Where minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion and/or overuse, massage can break them down quickly and effectively. Above all, it can help prevent those niggling injuries that so often get in the way of performance and achievement, whether one is a golfer, athlete, Yogi, ardent keep-fitter or a once a week jogger.

This treatment is not just for the sports person: anyone can benefit from sports massage, including people in physically demanding jobs and those not quite so obvious (occupational, emotional and postural stress may produce many similar characteristics to sports injuries)

Sports Rehabilitation

This will help people suffering from pain, injury or illness involving the musculoskeletal system. It can help people of all ages to maintain their health and fitness, recover from and prevent injury and reduce pain using exercise, movement and manual based therapeutic interventions

Acupuncture / Dry Needling

The goal of acupuncture is to correct imbalances of flow and restore health through stimulation, generally by inserting needles through the skin at points along the meridians of the body. Acupuncture may also be effective because it targets painful tender points, sometimes called trigger points. Acupuncture may decrease pain-causing inflammation by stimulating the body’s pituitary gland to release cortisol, a hormone that is known to reduce inflammation.
Although the exact manner in which acupuncture works is unknown, the treatment appears helpful for certain medical illnesses in certain people at certain times

IASTM

IASTM: Is where a Specific tool is used to produce a healing response to the body when they have a soft tissue injury. Scar tissue and adhesions are formed during the healing process, which limits movement and can often cause pain. It Is often necessary to restart the healing process in order to help remodel the soft tissue injury. By introducing microtrauma to the area by using IASTM, a local inflammatory response is stimulated, which allows facilitation of remodeling to the affected area. Common conditions treated by IASTM Include, Achilles Tendon injuries, Rotator Cuff of the Shoulder, IT band Syndrome, Plantar Fasciitis.
